Profile

Mark Fenton

Non-executive Director, Board Chair & Finance Executive — FAICD FCPA MBA BBus JP(Qual)

Mark is a professional and accomplished non-executive director with more than 23 years’ experience across performing arts, education, membership services, mental health, government advisory, supportive housing, disability services and aged care — including extensive experience as a Board Chair, and deep grounding in finance, risk, audit and change leadership.

With more than 27 years of commercial business and finance experience, Mark has worked across disability services, manufacturing, retail, professional services, retirement living and membership services, in both for-profit and not-for-profit organisations. His early executive career included significant international responsibility, including three years as Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific for a global manufacturing business, overseeing finance teams and legal compliance across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and India. During this time he was also appointed company director of the region’s wholly-owned subsidiary companies and a joint venture in India — his first board directorships, held concurrently with his executive finance role. This was followed by two years as General Manager, Australia and New Zealand, reporting to the CEO in Los Angeles. He has since led large, complex ERP transformation projects and built high-performing teams through periods of significant change — including the largest reform to disability funding in Australia’s history.

Mark is a capable public speaker on authentic leadership, professional development, and the links between values, culture and organisational performance. He lives part time between Brisbane and Coffs Harbour.
